Google, the host for services like gmail, facebook, youtube, google apps, adsense and most of all, Google search engine, previously retained data about its users for 18 whole months. Now it has made a change to its privacy policy cutting down its data retention time to 9 months. The data includes:
- your searches
- keywords found in your Gmail
- videos viewed on YouTube
- feeds subscribed to in Google Reader
- surf history in Chrome
- and a few more things on facebook, appps etc…
This means that now Google will not only be able to build a frighteningly accurate portrait of you , but will also help advertisers target you particularly for your advertisements. 
Sigh, thats one thing atleast i would and am wary off.. and always will be. One reason to hate google for me
