Uptill now, Youtube had the ability to upload and share videos from users around the globe. But what if you could edit videos and Annotate or add comments on those videos? Sounds Fun? Well this wasearlier posible through a Website called Omnisco, which has now been acquired by Google. The features of Annotating videos will this now be added to Youtube, and will firther enhance the sites capabilities. 

The announcement on the YouTube blog states:

As you probably guessed, we’re big fans of anything that lets people interact with online video and gives the YouTube community the chance to express themselves in creative ways. New features such as Video Annotations, which allow you to insert comments and information into the video itself, are just one example of how we’re beginning to expand what you can do with your videos on the site.

Omnisio also lets users assemble their own video from different clips and add their own commentary. People using the service to post videos on their site or blog can have their friends add comments directly into the video.
